Established in 2008, The New York Photo Awards has attracted exceptional work submitted from over 20,000 photographers and visual artists—over 100,000 images uploaded and reviewed by the top names in the genres of photo Fine Art, Documentary, Advertising, Book publishing, and Multimedia industries in the U.S. and abroad.

The esteemed pool of select jurors for The New York Photo Awards 2012, hands down, across the board, represent the upper echelons of the photo industry and art world and selected what’s next in Fine Art, Documentary, Advertising, Personal Portfolio, Photobook, and Multimedia. The winners will be featured in the debut issue of the series reissue of powerHouse Magazine: The Future of Contemporary Photography, coming Spring 2013 from powerHouse Books, in addition to other prizes and recognition.
